Firstly How Did They Stumble Upon BF.7 strain? 

While China was under Covid19 restrictions, A team of researchers sequenced a lot of Covid19 samples collected in December from Nanjing in Jiangsu province and released the dataset of a dozen or so sequences to all  international databases. They also released in lots of sequences of samples collected in November, but let's not get into that.

 All serious Scientists can view those sequences at NCBI's Covid19 data portal if the look for following submitter Information.

So these cases might not even be Nanjing's own, might be of sailors/boatmen tested as per protocol in November & December  there.

However, Indian Media's understanding and political classes' intelligence is so low, they didn't even the dataset .

BN.1.3 accounted for most : 4

Followed By BF.5 : 2

BF.7 had only TWO samples ( NCBI Accession Number  OQ048284 and  OQ048289) 

1 case of recombinant XBB.1 and one case of BN.1.1.1 , BQ.1.1.13, BQ.1.1, BQ.1.2

So sublineages of BQ.1 amount to 3 cases.

Who told them that BF.7 is causing the superspread? Why are "Indian scientists" disregarding XBB.1 now? BN.1.3 clearly is faster spreading worldwide and twice more prevalent in (Dr) Geng's dataset? BF.5 is as much prevalent in that dataset as BF.7, why disregard that?

 Unfortunately I saw a glimpse of Adani-NDTV today, in which, Ankit Tyagi was talking to West Bengal Health Minister, Dr. Shashi Panja. And she was saying the same stupid things, 

BF.7 came from China (absolutely false).

BF.7 cases jumped from 2 to 5 in one day (Completely Untrue).

I think she is MBBS Doctor and not a doctor of Virology.. it was stupid of NDTV to voice her opinion as Expert Opinion. 

Fact is neither Ankit nor Shashi Panja Know, there is no BF.7 detection kit.

Samples need to collected, sequencing machines which were idle for months need to recalibrated with a trial run. Then Covid sample assays to prepared and they had to be sequenced. The whole genome has to be sequenced and end product will be a set Files, each carrying one sample's unique sequence. 

Then these files will be fed to "Pangolin" software,  which will give PANGO lineages of every sample provided there were no sequencing error or new lineages. These exceptions are marked "Unclassified" and to virologists, they are most valuable. 

It is not X-ray of broken leg, Madam Doctor that you can say by a look at the plate, "Yes, this is a case of broken bone". And Ankit, it is also not Election result, you can't do "Early trends" in sequencing.. "bhaisaab, pehle 500 DNA dekh ke batao na" (bro, please tell from first 500 DNA base pair).. that sort of thing is also not done.

 In conclusion, free tutorial for Journalists and Politicians and interested people:

You must ask following questions, every time some official shoots his mouth of any lineage detection:

When and where the samples were collected?

Which sequencing machine was used? 

(As in a sequencing run, nobody runs for a single patient) How many samples were sequenced? 

If they say 1 or 2 samples of any particular strain (say BF.7 in this case) were present,  which would mean 19-199 samples were of other strains . If there are Unclassified samples, that might be a bigger healthcare worry.

India has not updated "RTPCR testing Kits" for over a year. India had stopped "Genome Surveillance of Covid19 strains" for most part of 2022. Now saying "We will Genome sequence" for all Covid Positive cases, simply won't work. 

Because Virus mutates continuously and after leaving its track, you cannot rejoin the race at your convenience. The way forward is to Genome Sequence all Covid like cases, even if tested negative for Covid after checking they are not "influenza" through RTPCR tests for Flu. This is how you detect "New Strains" or "New Virus".

And for that, India need to cut down RTPCR test costs.. right now, it is not affordable for 90% indians.

All these hoopla, however, looks like heading towards "4th Vaccine shot" in India, when under current "protocol" people are supposed to be taking their 3rd and thankfully rejecting them.

Masks however are good protection, both against Toxic pollutants and disease spreading aerosols. Wear them outside, as much as possible, Clean, Washable Masks.

BF.7 .. Did they get scared of that strain?

BF.7 Covid strain has been around for long, I had blogged about BF Lineages before.  But let's set the facts straight..

BF.7 sequences were detected long before any Omicron strain was discovered in South Africa, actually on 26th February 2021 .

But they were classified as BF.7 in July by Pangolin Software. 

India found 2 cases, one on 15th July and other on 16th September. 

Now they become scared of BF.7? On 22nd December? Like a popular soap advertising quip, I wish to ask "Tera Scientist Late hai kya?" 

And all state governments in India started "Covid Review Meeting" across party lines? To Politicians I wish to ask, " Have left your brains in Safety Deposit Box of your Bank" ?

Covid may be prevalent in India thanks to dropping of all precautions by these governments, but not BF.7 strains.

BF.7 is so old a strain that it has Sub-lineage strain now!

In Virology, 5-6 months are like 2 decades in human lifetime. Just like humans grow up and have children of their own, viruses spawn fresh Mutations and create Sub-lineages. Last time I checked BF.7 have Sub-lineages:

BF.7.1

BF.7.2

BF.7.3

BF.7.4 and its own sublineage BF.7.4.1 and BF.7.4.2

BF.7.5

BF.7.6

BF.7.7

BF.7.8

These Sublineage all failed to become "Dominant strain" in any location. So what is this propaganda of BF.7 is all about? Did India's own "Cheap Scientist of WHO" ask for this propaganda?

This BF.7 is neither more Infectious nor more deadly which is what I intend to prove now. And there are no scientific proof that this strain is responsible for China's Covid surge. Those "Scientists" that say so, don't know a single thing about Virology.

I have included two other locations, Japan who had and still in the middle of Covid19 superspread and USA (most english reading folks believe whatever US says) who didn't have any superspread in last 6 months. 

But if you look in the outbreak info screenshot that I shared above would find very few cases since first detection. 

Neither California, Nor Cumulatively USA saw a spike in deaths. Japan and South Korea saw most deaths from Covid in last 6 months  although they are vaccinated with same American Vaccines. 

Since the BF.7 detection and Covid19 death curves don't fit in Japan and South Korea; it can be ascertained that BF.7 was not the primary reason for those Covid deaths.

Now I have described these data and the science in layman's terms as much as possible, maybe the idiots of Indian Media can read and learn.

I'm sharing Outbreak.info's bar chart of Covid variants currently Prevailing in India,  as Government of India shared with WHO.

Two things become quite evident from this, 

1. Genomic Surveillance of Covid is Quite Lackluster in India. 

In fact, in last 60 days the most India could sequence and submit in one day was less than 24.

There were days when India didn't submit any data at all, in some days 2 or 3 sequences only.

Yet Idiots of Indian Media continue to parrot Government's Claim that India is doing all that it can. Actually TV journalists are doing all that they can, reading aloud whatever script Government feeds them.

2. Mutants XBB Or Cross Between Omicron and Alpha / Delta are the most prevalent strains and not BF.7

Although RNA viruses dont cross like double strain organisms, but some strains did come out among Covid19 genotypes which have marker mutations prevalent in Omicron and other lineages like Delta and Alpha family, these are known as XBB Strains. 

BF.7 has come and gone in India months ago.

Just because Western "Anti-china" propaganda says "BF.7 is killing and spreading like hell In China", they started this hue and cry in Media. Fact is China does not share its Genome sequencing data with WHO, just occasionally drops a few on NCBI databases (which I checked).

Scamsters of WHO now say, Chinese people have low immunity and parrots of Western and Indian Media shart Repeating that. How convenient it is for WHO to give approval to Made in China vaccine and now completely forgetting them. Besides after enjoying fruits of every Hindu festival and Election festivals, Indian Media loves to disrupt the Christmas celebration of tiniest minority.

 What Indian Media doesn't Know:

Don't worry I won't list out everything, if only because of lack of time and space on the blog as it is larger than the largest Encyclopedia ever conceived. 

Firstly, When Indian Media were lobbying for all restrictions to be lifted on Air travel and cheering when RTPCR testing were stopped.. Japan and South Korea reported hundreds of Thousands of new Covid cases daily. Nobody talked about any restrictions then, surely many strains passed into India from there as well as Australia and New Zealand. 

And Indian Doctors are only to happy to resume their profitable private practice, so they didn't even ask for new RTPCR tests forget for others, not only when they contracted Viral fever. They were more concerned about one Zika case. Dengue diagnosis was the medical norm in India for last 3-4 months. But no one submitted any Dengue Genome Sequences in any of International Databases. 

Secondly, Did any Indian Journalists check why Great (lol) Britain stopped it's massive Genome Surveillance of Covid19? Just after stupid Boris Johnson resigned? Do they even know, Nurses and Ambulance service workers are on strike there? 

Thirdly,  Did any Indian Journalist even notice that Italy, Germany are doing the same stupidity as UK is doing? Even Spain and Switzerland are following Sweden model of "Let it be" in 2022, I haven't seen a single story of warning travellers in last summer. Do they know, according to CDC, Fever and respiratory patients are filing up in 46 states and territories .. that's according to Fluview, which also shows very few RTPCR positive cases of Influenza.. the rest are some other virus, infectious and airborne.  Not Omicron,  Not H1N1 flu, Not RSV .. And they are causing Pneumonia just like Covid.

Fourthly,  India needs a comprehensive "Outbreak Prevention Policy", not fits and starts of knee-jerk reaction. Has any International Airport Terminal added a comfortable "quarantine zone" for incoming travellers? What would they do if an Ebola patient lands up in Airport?

Fifth and Finally: With SpiceJet back in business, Government Of India's favourite crony "SpiceHealth" has no interest in searching for updated RTPCR kits . As virus mutates, the primers in the kits must get updated .. well every virologist knows that, but do any Indian Journalists?

Why do they mislead Indian public,  every day in every sphere?

 I was checking the lack of snowfall in Himalayas and its effects on mountain glaciers this winter. But this morning, strange little dots appeared on a valley north of Kanchenjangha peaks. These red dots represent fires, but to best of our knowledge in satellite imagery, it is completely barren and no vegetation, let alone trees grow there.

Strangest of Strange fact is, nobody lives in the Valley and it has never given any name in any maps.

It is some 15 km inside Indian border,  so it not that Chinese and Indian troops are exchanging fire.

With every pass of satellites,  the number of red dots grew.

What could be these fires? Live-fire exercises? Did China cross Indian border again? Did a meteor crash? Or did the aliens land from space?

One thing is certain, these fires were not started naturally. The question is, Who started the fire? civilians are not even allowed in that sector.

I'm sure both India and China would sing the Billy Joel song, "We didn't start the fire".

 For 2 weeks in succession, CDC's data shows Outpatients of Most US states show Fever, Sore throat and other respiratory troubles. This data they don't show in their Covid19 section but in Flu section,  the Fluview application. 

Since most of western world's journalists has only turned to CDC during Coronavirus outbreak, they are not conversant with other sections and research work.

ILInet Produces this data and they clearly say, "This map is not of Flu diagnosis, but patients who came with Fever, Sore throat and respiratory ailments". Which actually means, these cases could be of Covid19 or Flu. Because in both cases, initial symptoms will be the same.

While "Fraud Fauci" did a TV commercial for "New Improved (no, not Toothpaste) Covid Vaccine" with First Lady Jill Biden reading the teleprompters, Whitehouse administration is silent about sudden increase "Respiratory ailments and Fever" in most US states. 

Out of these states, New York has reported 6000+ new Covid19 case, just Yesterday. But whether its Democrat ruled California, Washington or Republican ruled Texas,  they don't report daily cases anymore.  Just 2 or 3 days a week, that's it.

If testing and data release were such careless and lackadaisical in 2020. Only 10% of cases would have been reported. 

And on the other side of "Big pond", UK has stopped all testing ever since stupid BoJo was kicked out of office.  Germany, France, Italy are so concerned about their G7 club membership that they would blindly copy anything Biden's Whitehouse does.

This puts World in a very precarious position, where Media always looked at West for real science. But as long as Ukraine war will continue, these G7 countries will continue to ignore real Science. Reason is simple, any slowdown in commerce will put  these debt-ponzi driven countries into economic Depression.

Because these stupid people know only two modes, Lockdown or Break-free. A cautious middle path they will never adopt. 

And WHO? If you bribe them (in 10s of millions), they will say, "Eating shit improves immunity".

What can you do? Wear a mask and a pair of gloves. Make sure they are reusable, I don't want the earth to be littered with use and throw plastics also

Unlike last 2 winters in USA ,  The CDC politicians ( I won't dishonor real Scientists and Doctors, by calling CDC as those ), Flu detection business is in full swing, not that they are dropping huge tranches of Flu virus genome in NCBI. But all the Doctors are "Telegram"-ed by CDC disinformation cell to check for Flu and initially report all Flu-like symptoms as Flu. Everyone by now knows, initial symptoms of Covid19 and Flu are 99% same. 

And it is, also known, about 80% mild cases of Omicron goes away without much ado. So roll the dice and take your chances. It's like playing "Russian roulette" , 87%, 80%, 75%, 66% , 50% survival chances.  First 3 round odds, doesn't even look dangerous, doesn't it?

 So how many COVID19 cases are hiding inside CDC's Fluview data? How can Flu virus make such a strong comeback when COVID had destroyed Flu's ability to be the dominant airborne autumn and winter virus? CDC is only reporting numbers, it has not reported any specific mutations in Flu viruses, which is making it more infectious than Covid .

Take a look at CDC's Fluview map screenshot which says at the end of November most US states are showing massive "Flu Outbreaks" .

 

Stop lying Joe Biden, follow the Science as you promised you'll do.

You won't hear it on Mainstream Media, but Joe Biden is doing exactly what Donald Trump is to say.

1. "Stop Testing" Trump said and Biden did.

When Trump said, "Stop testing for every flu-like fever" many of us ridiculed him for ignorant and unscientific. And our opinions were megaphoned by CNN, BBC, NBC ,  CBS, DW, France24 and the rest of CIA infested global media . 

But when Joe Biden literally stopped Covid Testing in 2022, yes, only a handful of states in USA now. And Media is reporting "Flu outbreaks here and there".

Needless to remind you that the crap RTPCR detection primers are in use globally, that was pushed by CDC and the healthcare Industry, most newly evolved strains of SARSCOV2 will never be detected.

2. "It's just Flu" , Trump,  Bolsonaro said .. Now Biden and Lula will say the same.

Media in US, who cried a Mississippi on TV, Internet when first Hundred Thousand deaths were reported in US and now silent on One Million Covid deaths in US.

Their only item on Agenda is blaming China for having Covid restrictions, just like west did 2020-2021. Those blanched and Ugly and brainwashed TV anchors forgot:

In 2020, Paris and Dutch cities saw anti-restriction rallies and BBC dumbos forgot that their super dumb PM Boris Johnson was ousted for partying during Covid restrictions. Even during Omicron wave, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands saw anti-lockdown protests. 

But Protests in European Democracies or in America are signs of Anarchy for Western Media, only "Government sponsored rallies" are democratic exercise.

Right Now, a Covid wave is hitting Qatar, Bahrain, UAE Area. And Media deliberately calling it "Just Flu". XBB.1, BY.1, CA.3, BN.1 strains are circulating in that area, what we know for sure. Many other strains can potentially emerge through such news-gathering for a "Rigged World Cup".

3. "Blame China" policy of Trump. 

When Trump used to blame China without any Rhyme or reason for the Pandemic, Nancy Pelosi and the lot used create a hysterical theater and would end up praising Xi Jinping. 

After failure of US-China trade negotiations, Pelosi and Biden has become totally dependent on Trump's "Blame China" policy.

As a longtime critic of China's Human rights record, I find such flip-flopping extremely distressing and totally crazy.

You know what, if Xi gives carrot on Trade negotiations or breaks ties with Russia, all of China's human rights abuses shall be forgotten by Media . But those will be against China's own economic interests, so they will not do them.

To conclude, Covid19 outbreak of 2022-23 Northern Hemisphere Winter will be under-reported and best Precautionary Measure is to wear a mask while going out, just like 2020.
